Dot-To-Dot:

is done and hanging in Just Sew.
[Kits {just a few} are available for $80-something.]

Each of the 84 polka dot fabrics used for the dots is on there twice.
(You could play the matching game :)

The outer border is "Sweet Dot" in blue from Sweet Divinity by Riley Blake.

Backing and binding are from "Summertime" by Quilt Soup for Henry Glass.

The quilting was done by Wren Woodland in Highland, UT.  She does fabulous custom, free-hand quilting [which was perfect for the look I was going for].

This is one happy and cozy quilt.
Perfect for cuddling with.

A winner & some class info

Thursday, November 11, 2010

I apologize that I have not got around sooner to announcing the winner of the Square Root pattern giveaway.  Here are the TOP TEN things that have been keeping me busy:

1.) First and foremost - being my kids mom.
2.) Getting my polka dot quilt off to the quilter.
3.) Getting ready to teach my fabric pincushion classes for the Quilter's Harvest (which is tomorrow).
4.) Getting things lined up for my first Gigi's Thimble teaching debut (see below).
5.) Taking an unusual amount of naps (which is sooo not like me & NO - I'm not pregnant:)
6.) Enjoying old friends while they stayed the weekend with us.
7.) Working on my Lori Holt applique project.
8.) Being a room mom to 26 kindergartners and seeing way too much spit, drool and bubbles in one day(and from one child in particular), than I'm comfortable with.
9.) Enjoying my second grader's championship win in football!

AND LAST, BUT NOT LEAST...

10.) Procrastinating writing the instructions for my new pattern (really, that makes me feel SO busy, because it is always LURKING (!) in the back of my mind.)

 Anyways.  Onto our winner.

Square Root ~ A New Pattern

Tuesday, November 2, 2010

I'd love to share with you my latest pattern:

Square Root is a Jelly Roll pattern.
The cover quilt is made up in Kate Spain's Fandango line of fabric.
[Such great colors and prints, if you ask me.]

It's a very scrappy quilt using a very versatile block!

You can make it with or without the applique blocks.

And, I think it would be a great stash buster pattern,
if you didn't want to use a Jelly Roll.

 The finished size measures 54" x 70".

Patterns are available in my etsy shop.

Want a copy?  Leave a comment below telling me what you think about
Square Root and I'll pick one winner to receive a free copy!
Giveaway will end Wednesday at midnight.

Did I ever tell you

that I made a design wall?
[Actually, that I made two design walls!]

They're big.
They're lightweight.
They're portable.
And, they're great for taking my cover shots on, for my quilt patterns.

I used this great tutorial, found on the blog, {House} of A La Mode.
