Without a Doubt

Version B is the winner!

After no time at all, I could see the majority of you liked Version B so yesterday I decided to go for it (sorry, Version A people).  So I got this baby all put together and now I'm just wondering...borders or no borders?  I'm not sure what I am going to do with this quilt.  As is, it might be a good size for a baby play mat (about 42" square before quilting).  But I don't know anyone having a baby anytime soon.  Anyone?  Anyone?  Or, maybe I could sell it (if anyone is interested in just the top let me know)?  Or, I could throw on some borders to make it...Hmmm, I don't know...What do you do with a square quilt???

Anyways, thank you all for your feed back.  That was nice to get another 111 people's opinions!  As a little thank you, I have picked a winner for a set of my 3 new patterns.  So without further adieu, the winner is...#21: Mimi!!!

Mimi, please send me your mailing address and I'll get those right off to you!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Yes for a picnic is a good idea and I would make a border around it.
Have a great weekend.

I would put a plain coloured border around it! How about a quilt to snuggle up with on the sofa?

No border I think. It's quite a busy quilt already so I would just do a simple dark binding. Pick quilt sounds good :)

No border and it's a beautiful wall hanging!

I like the idea of a border. You could make the quilt a rectangle by adding extra blocks in the corners-do you get what I mean? I have the same predicament- too many quilts with no homes- I am going to set up a shop and see what happens.
Good luck.

I vote for B...and I chose that one even before you said it was less work.

I think a light border with a dark binding would look fantastic. It will give you a very nice lap quilt or maybe you could tuck it into your 72 hour kit!

I just knew it. Version B won. Congrats to the winner of your patterns too although I am jealous. Would have loved to have any of them.

Add a border to make it a picnic/read outside on the grass quilt or something. A great way to spend some time reading to the kids under a shade tree this summer... especially with a dark (grass stain proof) backing.
