Thanks for being gutsy and letting us know that we who would rather sew than organize are not alone. Doesn't look bad to me, especially since you are a busy mama, etc. How did the cake pop demo go??? That's something on my bucket list, too. BTW I sew in my dining room, which is the only reason I clean it all up every so often.Amy DeCesarehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16607540522393512064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4111251612193454477.post-39778831363305956752011-09-25T19:47:50.465-06:002011-09-25T19:47:50.465-06:00Ha ha! I made a rule for myself after I gave my studio a little makeover...every time I finish a quilt I have to clean the whole room and put stuff away. It works like a charm when I actually follow the rule...it seems like I often find an excuse (like, oh that was just a mini quilt, it doesn't count) why I can just wait and clean it after the next one!Cynthiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10445554271830722221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4111251612193454477.post-57443656884521374662011-09-18T19:32:39.964-06:002011-09-18T19:32:39.964-06:00Oh my goodness that room is looking good...if that...Oh my goodness that room is looking good...if thats as messes as it gets don't fret about it. Obviously, the room is being used for its intended purpose, and the piecing process gets interrupted periodically by things like the need to fix dinner. Big deal. My sewing room looks like this or worse most of the time. Usually I do the clean-up in between projects. When a project is in process, the space will be strewn with fabrics being auditioned, instruction sheets, empty spools of thread, scissors, ideas for the next project, fabrics to be pressed, etc. etc.<br />I live here. I work here. I do quilts and quilting. I eat cupcakes. The front room of the house is tidy, but the rest is my workspace! I try to focus on one project at a time (mostly), and about once every week or two, I do a massive overhaul/cleaning session. The more projects I work on, the messier I get and the harder it is for me to focus. Good luck with it.
